As a scientist, philosopher, author and educator, Mansukh Patel is considered to be a dynamic, innovative teacher of self-development. Mansukh’s vibrant approach to living is appealing and relevant to all those wishing to enrich their lives and make a greater contribution to society.
Mansukh Patel’s inspiration
His earliest inspiration came from his parents, who always encouraged him to make life an experience to remember. His father maintained that the only failure in life is not to try and that we each only have a short time to make things happen. His father inspired him right from the start to follow Gandhi’s advice: ‘Be the change you want to see in the world.’
Mansukh is a great walker and spends a large part of his time in the natural world. Living in the mountains of Snowdonia in North Wales, Mansukh has found that walking helps to change your perspective on life’s issues and that nature can help to resolve any problems. In this sense the natural world has become his mentor.
As well as his parents, the other great inspiration in Mansukh’s early life came from his university professor Charles William Evans who towards the end of his life was awarded the FRS, the scientific equivalent of the Nobel Peace Prize. Mansukh and Professor Evans shared a mutual excitement about many things including Einstein’s holographic way of thinking.
In 2003 Mansukh received the Howard Thurman Ecumenical Stained Glass Award. The award was presented at the Martin Luther King Jr. Chapel at Morehouse College in Atlanta during the Gandhi-King Season for Nonviolence.
